Searching for some at home activities for your kids? <\/p>
Have them take part in the Germantown Community Library’s new Dear Friend Program. <\/p>
Earlier this week the Germantown Community Library launched the Dear Friend, a program aimed to help those who may be feeling lonely or isolated during the COVID-19 outbreak. <\/p>
The program will connect Germantown children (up to 18 years of age) with a Germantown homebound senior citizen (ages 60 and above) through pen pal writing program. <\/p>
Through old fashioned letter writing, participants will be to connect with different generations and encourage each other during these unprecedented times.<\/p>
The library will verify participants\u2019 address and their desire to participate. The library will also pair each participating youth with a participating senior citizen. <\/p>
