Tiger Lane place to be during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The American Cancer Society started “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” to unite communities, companies, and individuals with a collective goal to end breast cancer as we know it.

With several small and large events planned throughout the Mid-South in October, the American Cancer Society is promoting two awareness events.

The Memphis Tiger football team is hosting one on Friday, Oct. 7, for its Cancer Awareness & Healthcare Appreciation Game at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

The game against rival Houston Cougars will offer a special discounted ticket offer. The American Cancer Society will get back $5 of every Cancer Awareness ticket purchased.

On Sunday, Oct. 16, the Making Strides of Memphis event will take place beginning at 1:30 p.m. The walk will begin at Tiger Lane at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium at 3 p.m.

Tiger Lane is located at 335 S. Hollywood. For more information, to sign up or to donate, contact Elizabeth Ennis at [email protected] or call 455-2235.
