• Caroline Hartnack of Collierville graduated from Union College as part of the College’s 222nd Commencement ceremony. Hartnack received a Bachelor of Science degree while majoring in Psychology .

• Belmont will break its previous record of student travelers participating in summer study abroad opportunities as 506 students pack their bags to travel all over the world.
Local summer travelers include:
Kathleen Albritton of Germantown traveled to Central Europe.
Katherine Ward of Cordova traveled to Sweden.
22 programs were held in May and nine programs are currently underway as students embark on adventures in nearly 30 countries including South Africa, Ireland, China, Austria, Greece and Argentina, among others.

• Samantha McColgan of Cordova has been named among the 73 official Spring 2016 graduates of Kansas Wesleyan University after completing all requirements for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science-Pre-Physical Therapy on May 7.

• Collins Langley of Germantown was awarded Gold Stars by The Citadel for earning a grade-point ratio of 3.7 or higher during the 2016 spring semester. Students that achieve Gold Star recognition are also placed on The Citadel’s Dean’s List.

• The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to approximately 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students during the Institute’s 251st Commencement exercises on May 6-7 at the McCamish Pavilion.
• Peter Chang of Collierville – Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering
• Emilio Mendoza of Collierville – Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
• Nabill Abdurehman of Cordova – Master of Science in Statistics
• Ryan Diaz of Germantown – Bachelor of Science in Computational Media

• The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized Collierville’s Maya Hubbard, School of Pharmacy, who was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester of the 2015-2016 academic year.

• Collierville’s Morgan Brothers and Bo Sutton were among the 353 students at Ouachita Baptist University named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester. The students will receive a certificate of recognition from Ouachita and will be included in the “National Dean’s List” for 2015-16.

• Wheaton College student David Choi of Collierville was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2016 semester. To earn Dean’s List honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade-point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

• Payton Rose Mink of Collierville graduated with a degree in English from James Madison University during commencement exercises. Mink was among nearly 3,875 students who received undergraduate, master’s, educational specialist and doctoral degrees.
