Dragons unable to overcome early 33-10 Germantown lead

Despite outscoring Germantown in the second half, the Collierville Lady Dragons lost 57-41 last Thursday to their district rival. The Lady Red Devils stunned Collierville early with a 22-3 run in the first quarter. Germantown’s lead swelled to 33-10 by halftime. Collierville clawed back in the second half, outscoring the Devils 31-24. However, Germantown’s lead was insurmountable. The Red Devils were paced by Davielle Moore’s 18 points. Breaunna Burks chipped in 13 points. Jada Taylor had 16 points for Collierville and Kyra Pryor added 8 points. Germantown is now 8-13 on the season and scheduled to host Southwind on Friday night. Collierville is 14-10 on the season and will play at Houston on Friday. The Lady Mustangs are 17-2 this season and coming off of a 59-15 route against Wooddale.
