Cordova gets win over Washington

The Cordova Wolves kept their perfect season intact Friday by blanking Booker T. Washington 49-0 at home. Cordova jumped to an early 22-0 lead thanks to a 75-yard punt return courtesy of Jarrius Anderson. After scoring again on a safety, Cordova running back Donta Franklin got into the end zone on a 15-yard run. He finished the game with 63 yards on 7 carries. Next it was back Harold Lacy’s turn. Lacy dashed 40 yards into the end zone to complete the first quarter. He had two touchdowns and 59 yards in the game. Cordova’s defense held the Warriors to negative six passing yards and allowed only four first downs. ABOVE: Quarterback Devin Coleman looks down field for an open receiver. Coleman finished the game with 101 yards and completed 5-of-5 passes. Cordova (4-0) will play Collierville Friday night.
