GHS Valedictorian











Katherine Molinet is ranked first in a class of 446 Germantown students. She is the daughter of Janet and Rob Molinet and has an older sister, Elizabeth, who was the class of 2013 valedictorian.
Her grade-point average is 4.6604 and she scored a 34 on the ACT, with a 36 in the English and Reading sub tests. She scored a 2320 on the SAT. She is a member of the International Baccalaureate Program.
Molinet was the recipient of last year’s Sewanee Book Award for Excellence in Writing. She won first place in an essay competition sponsored by Ole Miss and she has been recognized as one of the best young writers in the state of Tennessee by the Tennessee Department of Education.
Molinet is very involved in school clubs and activities. She is president of the National Honor Society and co-president of Mock Trial where she earned the title of Best Attorney for three years in a row during the Mock Trial Competitions. Molinet is also a GHS Student Ambassador where she represents GHS at both on and off campus events and activities.
Molinet is a National Merit Scholar and, following family tradition, was accepted Early Decision to Duke.
