GPAC announces 2015-16 season

Guitarist Jesse Cook has been named to GPAC’s 2015-16 lineup.

Currently enjoying the 20th anniversary season, Germantown Performing Arts Center is celebrating a year of sold-out performances, a dedicated group of subscribers and an overwhelming number of new contributors.
GPAC has announced the 2015-16 season of performances to be held in the Duncan-Williams Performance Hall.
The American Music Series kicks off the season with Belinda Carlise, known worldwide as the lead vocalist of the Go-Go’s, one of the most successful all-female bands of all time.
This series, which sold out every show during the 20th anniversary season, will also include performances by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Larry Gatlin with Jason D. Williams.
The Jazz Series is filled with four superstars, including Marcus Roberts, Dianne Reeves and Branford Marsalis Quartet. Famed horn player, David Sanborn, will kick off the Jazz Series on Nov. 14.
An expanded Dance/Movement Series welcomes the return of Pilobolus.
The series will continue with a mix of modern dance, classical dance and physical theater represented by AiRealistic: Breaking Surface which will perform over a stage made of water. Others will include Koresh and the Houston Ballet ll.
The eclectic International Series begins with the Vienna Boys Choir and Stewart Copeland from the globally known English rock band, The Police.
Other international performances to look forward to are Danu and Jesse Cook.
The Classic Music Series will continue to be overseen by GPAC’s resident orchestra IRIS. The series includes the return of famed violinist Midori.
