October 25
The Collierville Chamber of Commerce Business Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 25 at Cox Community Center, 440 W. Powell Road. For more information, call 853-1949.

October 26
The eighth annual Collierville Literacy Council’s SCRABBLE FUNdraiser Tournament will be Nov. 11 from 1-4:30 p.m. at St. George’s Independent School in Collierville. Teams of three compete in three quick rounds. A team of three is $75; an individual player is $30. Sponsorships are available from $100-$5,000. The early bird entry deadline is Oct. 26. October 26-27
The Collierville Haunted Trail will be held from 7-10 p.m. on Oct. 26 and 27 at W.C. Johnson Park. The event is for children ages 10 and up and features a half-mile of “screams and gasps around the lake and through the woods.” The event costs $10 a person.

October 27
Several Germantown roads will be closed Oct. 27 for Race for the Cure. Germantown Police will control the closure points and provide traffic control. Participants are also asked to use caution and allow extra time to reach the event as there is road construction underway in the area. In the event of inclement weather, please call 751-5669 for details on event status.
5:30 a.m.
Southbound lanes of Germantown Road at Neshoba Road will detour to westbound Neshoba.  No left turns will be allowed onto Neshoba.
West Farmington Boulevard from Germantown Road to Poplar Ave.
Akerswood at Germantown Road
6 a.m.
Exeter Road between Neshoba Road and Farmington Blvd.
All lanes of Germantown Road North of Poplar Ave.
7 a.m.
Neshoba Road at Brierbrook Road
Brierbrook Road at Farmington Blvd.
West bound lanes of Farmington Road at Kimbrough Road
Brierbrook Road between Woodgate Drive and Neshoba Road
Most roads will reopen by 10 a.m. Germantown Road between Neshoba Road and Poplar Ave. will remain closed until 11:30 a.m. W. Farmington Blvd. between Germantown Road and Poplar Ave. will remain closed until noon.
Shuttle service will run to the race site from AgriCenter International, Shops of Forest Hill and Carrefour Mall beginning at 5:30 a.m.  Shuttles are available to registered participants on a first come first served basis. The last shuttle will depart for the race at 7:15 a.m. The last shuttle will leave the race to return to the parking lots at 11 a.m.

October 30
The Collierville Burch Library will host Halloween Hoots & Howls at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 in the Storytelling Room. The event is for children in kindergarten through second grade. Join Miss Jodi as she presents the puppet show “The Halloween Pumpkin” and “not-too-scary” Halloween stories. Children will make their own Halloween treat bag and take home some goodies. November 1-3
The Germantown Library “Friend’s Bookstore” will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 1 and from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 2 and 3. For more information, call Alison Bodkin at 757-7323.
